Professor | Anna Malikova
Born in China in 2008, Yinqi Wang has captured many prizes in international competitions. She won 1st prize in the A group in the 3rd International Mozart Competition for Young Musicians; 1st prize in the concerto group in the Shenzhen Open Piano Competition; 2nd prize in the 27th International Fryderik Chopin Piano Competition for Children and Youth in Szafarnia, Poland, at which she also garnered the Best Mazurka Award; and 3rd prize as well as the Audience Prize in the Tal Hai Concerto Competition, Israel. Yinqi Wang has performed in many cities in China to critical acclaim. At the age of 11, she made her solo recital debut in Beijing. In 2021, she was invited to perform in the opening concert of the 29th Chopin International Children’s Piano Competition. Orchestras with which she has collaborated include the Shenzhen Philharmonic and the Salzburg Chamber. At present, Yinqi Wang is studying at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna under the guidance of Prof. Anna Malikova. Keen to expand her musical horizons, she is an avid and passionate chamber music player, while at the same time studying composition with Mengneng Li, a graduate of the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Lyon, France.
