Ben Lepetit was born in Chemnitz in 2006 and became a young student at the Franz Liszt University of Music in Weimar at the age of 8. He studied under Prof. Grigory Gruzman until 2018 and was also a composition student of Prof. Reinhart Wolschina. Making his first public appearance at the age of 5, Ben performed at events such as the Saxon Mozart Festival. He garnered numerous awards at national and international competitions, including the International Steinway Piano Competition in Hamburg, the Robert Schumann Competition in Düsseldorf, and the International Franz Liszt Competition for Young Pianists in Weimar. He received scholarships from the Oskar and Vera Ritter Foundation and the Saxon Mozart Society. Ben participated in the Junior Academy Eppan/Italy under the guidance of Prof. Andrea Bonatta and received the Junior Prize. He collaborated with various orchestras, including the Robert Schumann Philharmonic in Chemnitz under Felix Bender and the Baltic Sea Youth Philharmonic under Kristjan Järvi. Ben gave his first piano recital in Hamburg at the age of 9, performed at the "Moscow meets friends" festival in Moscow, and won the 1st prize at the Saxon Composition Competition in Zwickau. He made several television appearances and played concerts in front of prominent figures, including the Chancellor of Germany. He took a 3-year-long break from 2019 to 2022. Since October 2023, he has been studying with Prof. Michail Lifits at the University of Music Franz Liszt in Weimar.
