Mariia Kompan was born in 2006 in Kyiv, Ukraine. At the age of 6, Mariia started taking piano lessons with Iryna Rozman at Kyiv Children Music School No.10. During her studies, Mariia has won numerous regional and international competitions and has taken part in many concerts. In 2021, Mariia successfully graduated from the music school and entered the R. Glier Kyiv Municipal Academy of Music, in the class of Yuliana Yablonska. Now, being in her third year at the academy, Mariia has already participated in many festivals and projects, such as the "Elpida Culture Festival" in 2022 in Neuchatel, Switzerland, and the "Cremona International Music Academy and Festival" in 2022 in Cremona, Italy, where she also won the first prize and was awarded two special prizes - "Best Bach" and "Best Sonata" in the "Cremona Academy Competition for piano." She also took part in the "Talent Music Summer Courses" in 2023 in Brescia, Italy. In July 2023, Mariia made her debut with the Cremona Festival Orchestra, performing Mozart Concerto K.450 in B flat major in Cremona, Italy. Mariia has participated in masterclasses by Veneziela Naydenova, Tobias Schabenberger, Till Fellner, Mana Tokuno, Christoph Sischka, Esther Ning Yau, and Li-Shan Hung.
