Dea Gverdtsiteli-Abakelia was born in Tbilisi (Georgia) in 2004. She successfully graduated from Z. Paliashvili Central Music School in 2022, with Maia Beridze as her piano class teacher. Dea actively participated in school concerts. Currently, she is in her second year of the bachelor's degree at Tbilisi V. Sarajishvili State Conservatoire, studying in the class of Professor Nino Tchirakadze, an Honored Artist of Georgia. She consistently participates and successfully performs at conservatory concerts. Since childhood, Dea has systematically taken part in various international piano competitions and has been recognized as a laureate and winner of many awards, including: 2016: Union of Artists of Georgia "Artists for the Future" - "FUTURE STARS" Diploma and nomination for artistry. 2016: T. Amirejibi Borjomi International Piano Competition - 2nd Prize winner. 2017: Seventh Tbilisi International Contest of Young Pianists - 2nd Prize winner and the audience sympathy. 2020: Yamaha Music Gulf FZE Piano Scholarship winner. 2020: American Protégé International Concerto Competition - 1st Prize winner. 2021: The 2nd online "Sviatoslav Richter" International Piano Competition in South Korea - 3rd Prize winner and nomination for the most beloved artist. 2022: Developing Union of Georgian Folklore and Classical Music "Harmony" (online) - Grand Prix. 2022: Meliton Balanchivadze Young Musician's International Competition - 1st Prize winner. 2023: Toradze International Music Festival scholarship winner.
