Yuqiao Chen, born in China in 2007, embarked on his piano journey under the guidance of teachers Youlan Wang, Tong Shen, and Irina Novikova. Currently, he is mentored by the esteemed pianist Artas Balakauskas, whose guidance has significantly enriched his musical journey. By the age of 16, Yuqiao earned accolades in prestigious competitions such as the Vladimir Krainev Online Competition, North American Virtuoso International Music Competition, and Chicago International Music Competition.
His remarkable performance at the New Talent Festival in London earned him a full one-year scholarship to study at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Switzerland. Winning the Elevato Competition granted him an invitation to perform in Tokyo in 2024. At the age of 13, Yuqiao achieved distinction in the LTCL exam from Trinity College London, earning scholarships from schools in Bangkok and Pattaya. He has showcased his talents in various cities, including Berlin, Prague, and San Francisco, and collaborated with the Bangkok Charity Orchestra in 2022.
Although some performances, including at Carnegie Hall, were postponed due to Covid, Yuqiao has recently collaborated with Karma Sounds and gained recognition as an Apple Artist. His works, starting from May, have been featured on over 100 global platforms, with Apple Music at the forefront, accumulating more than 2 million streams.
