Andrii Zakhodiakin was born in Donetsk, Ukraine, in 2009 into a family of musicians. Due to the armed conflict that commenced in eastern Ukraine in 2014, his family relocated to Kyiv. In 2016, he joined the M.V. Lysenko Technical High School of Music in Kyiv (renamed Kyiv State Musical Lyceum "M.V. Lysenko" in 2021), studying in the class of Prof. Larissa Vakarina. Since 2020, he has been under the guidance of "Honored Artist of Ukraine," Prof. Natalia Tolpygo. Throughout his years of study at the Lyceum, Andrii actively participated in student concerts held at the National Philharmonic of Ukraine, all piano department concerts, as well as performances in the classes of Prof. Tolpigo and Prof. Vakarina. He was a participant in the National Project "I am a Virtuoso" in 2019 and 2021, and he took part in the International Forums of Pianists "Bieszadi bez Granic" in 2020, 2022, and 2023 (Poland). Additionally, he participated in the Grand Concert of the Laureates of previous years of the International Instrumental Competition Yevhen Stankovych in January 2021. Andrii Zakhodiakin is a laureate of many international competitions.
