Katya Gringolts was born in Zurich in 2009 into a musical family. She began her music studies at the age of five with Slava Spiridonov and Dominic Chamot, and is currently studying with Rafael Lippstein at the Zakhar Bron School of Music. In 2019, Katya Gringolts won the Entrada of the Swiss Youth Music Competition, received the 2nd prize at the finale, and the 1st prize at the Zurich Music Competition. In 2023, her piano trio won the 1st prize with distinction at the finale of the Swiss Youth Music Competition. In the fall of 2019, Katya participated in the ZBSM masterclass led by the renowned piano educator Mira Marchenko and performed at the gala concert of the ZBSM Festival "Children Playing for Children." Katya has taken part in open concerts at the school in Villa Boveri (Baden), Klus Kappelle, and Zunfthaus zur Waag in Zurich.
