Teacher Expert | Diana Diubenko

Mariia Yermak, born in Kiev in 2012, developed an interest in playing the piano at the age of five while observing her older sister's music lessons. Upon attempting to play on her own, she exhibited remarkable musical talent. Subsequently, she commenced music lessons at the Kosenko Children's Music School No. 3 in Kiev. Since 2019, she has actively participated in various international music festivals and competitions, achieving notable success. Some of her accomplishments include securing the 1st prize at the international Mozartion competition for young pianists under 11 years old (AMADEUS, Brno, Czech Republic), winning the 1st prize at the 2020 International Music Competition (New Port Virtuosi, USA), claiming the 1st prize at the International Stankovych Competition (May 2021, Kiev), and achieving the 2nd prize at the Elevato Piano Competition (July 2021, Bern, Switzerland). Mariia has earned laureate status in competitions such as the IV Regional Competition of Young Pianists "Spring in the Uvarov House," the Great Summer Music Festival, the International Piano Festival "Spring Voices," and the Grand Autumn Music Festival, among others. Despite challenges arising from the war, Mariia successfully qualified for the prestigious 29th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition for Children and Youth in Szafarnia, Poland, where she received a diploma with distinction.
